Boat Repairs Before and After: A Photo Journey

Removal of Coppercoat and gelcoat

    Gel peeling and osmosis treatment

    Process of an osmosis treatment

At LG Boat Repairs Boat Repairs, we specialize in osmosis treatments using West epoxy throughout the process. Soft antifoul to be removed by media blasting or removal by the means of hand and mechanical tools. Hard Antifoul to be power-washed to remove loose surface material. Gel peel with the Gel Peel Pro until a solid even surface is achieved. Pressure wash or steam hull to flush out the osmosis repeatedly. Depending on the depth of the cut, fill and fair with West epoxy filler, sand smooth and apply one or two layers of biaxial cloth. Fill and fair. Apply 6 coats of barrier coat. Final process depends on the choice of Antifoul.
